The E-420 now includes another feature which was first on the E-3. Shadow adjustment technology automatically adjusts the shadows, for more dynamic range.
Before SAT - The sun is shinning of the building, with strong shadows from the photographer, and the trees making the side quite dark, and loosing a lot of details of the buildings.
After SAT - With Shadow adjustment turned on in the camera, the second shot shows a lot more details in the side of the building, and brings forth a much nicer picture. If you shoot JPEG's this is really a feature that you will want to learn as much about, and use it when appropriate.

The above video is flash, however, we have a QuickTime version avalible in the link below. I took this video through the video out cable on the E-420, and recorded sound through my laptop. To me the fastest focusing mode with the 25mm seems to be the Contrast detection mode. But this video should explain how the system works.
