Really in my opinion 2008 was the best year to date for the 4/3 system as a whole. We had finally seen the E-1 replacement after to many years (and many users leaving to go to other systems.) Micro 4/3 announcements, and the first offering of the G1 - which Pop Photo called last years camera of the year, and in many respects Panasonic getting serious about micro 4/3, with the release of a lens road map. So I thought that I would take a little bit of time on what I think we will see in 2009. This isn’t really a bunch rumors, but more a schedule for things to come this year at least at this point. Though I will admit the 100-400mm is little more than a pipe dream as far as I know.

1. we are seeing a new SD card standard - SDXC which will support up to 2 TB’s with a much higher bus speed.
2. Micro fourthirds camera from Olympus - I doubt that we will see it until later in the year, and most likely not at PMA.
3. The E-3 replacement - Once again I don’t think that we will see it at PMA,
