Really, to truly understand a camera in my opinion is like going on a date. First you have the initial excitement, and then it takes some time to truly get to know the other person. After a year and 50,0000+ pictures with the E-3, I still feel like I am getting to know that camera. So in my opinion, to give too many final comments about the E-30 is insane. I know that most in the industry have to do it day in and out, but I also see how many of the reviews are superficial, and bland, or the reviewers take subjective tests and attempt to make them objective.
Outside of the Olympus tech reps I don't know anyone who even has the E-30 in hand. So while I think that this is really little more than my first thoughts on this camera, they should be of great value to those looking at this camera.
Finally, I am only allowed to share photos from firmware 1.0 cameras, which this camera is. I do play with some beta products, but I will never make comments about those.
I will work at posting at least 2 more updates on this camera over the next couple weeks, while I still have the camera, and post those update links on this page.
Update #1 - 12-13-08
