This lens is a minor update over the original Olympus 14-54mm f/2.8-3.5 High Grade kit lens.
The biggest change is that it supports CDAF. So if you want to use it on a m4/3 camera that doesn't support PDAF, like the original Olympus E-M5, this is the version to get. Other than that, you can just go for the cheaper older version.
